Omaha West Rotary Club Secretary Report for October 26, 2018:

This past Friday, we had several visitors and guests!  Phil Schrier, Chuck Sederstrom, and Tom Correll joined us from Omaha North West.  And Jim Leslie visited from Suburban.  Susan Thomas invited Patty Talbert (one of the artists that painted a little free library).  Kim Kuhle invited Blake Martin (who also put in his membership application!).  And finally, Mark Manhart invited Jerry Pascale.

We got right down to business and had the 2nd annual Ray Barr Loud Outfit Contest.  There were several entrants and many worthy candidates.  But by popular vote, the winners were Carl Philo (Best Costume), Tara Browne (Best Suit), and Ric Miller (Best Tie).

Several red badge members were in attendance.  We also had our club board members stand to be recognized.

All donations for the following good news were put in the newly named Verde Martin Lock Box.  Please let me know if you would like to have the naming rights for future meetings.  For good news, Brett Wawers celebrated his 34th wedding anniversary.  Martie Cordaro mentioned that the Storm Chasers are having a free Halloween event at the ballpark.  The ballpark is also going to have a major construction expansion.  And Matt McKeever will be presenting at a national digital currency conference at the Scott Technology Center.

Nick closed with a joke and wished everyone a good weekend.

Carl Philo, Best Costume

Tara Bowne, Best Suit
