Through the generosity of donors and Evan Olson's family, his memorials to Rotary were donated to sponsor 10 students to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp last weekend. Here are comments from a student (names removed for privacy) who attended last weekend:
Hello!
I just wanted to let you all know that________________came into my office at 7:30 AM today with the most positive outlook on life. Her words: "Mrs._____________, I just had the most amazing weekend of my life" She went on to tell me how she has never had such an impactful and meaningful experience. She was so very grateful and super excited about everything she learned and experienced. ____________hasn't always had the easiest life growing up and in fact, many would be in disbelief of some of the barriers she has overcome because she hasn't let it get in the way of her success. I just want to say thank you to all of you involved for providing this amazing opportunity for our youth. Summer definitely had an outstanding experience, and I believe this was a pivotal point in her life. Thank you and God Bless all that you do for our youth.
