This winter our club will be working the Salvation Night Watch trucks this winter. With a District Grant and help from Dick Lerner/Bel Air we were able to purchase over 3000 pairs of socks for the Salvation Army and Open Door Mission. Those have already been delivered.
With the help of Kenneth Gordon's, it made it possible not only to meet and exceed the goal for the Salvation Army Nightwatch program but also to play it forward for the Open Door Mission. Mr. Gordon's Company supports these kind of programs in New Orleans and took a write down and made a contribution to our efforts to support the Salvation Army and the Open Door Mission by offering the socks to us for less than $1 a pair.
We are also collecting warm clothes- drop your gently-used items at Bel Air clothing through 10/31.
