Thank you to Bob Gerseny and the Special Events committee for putting on a fabulous Police and Fire luncheon. This year, we also honored a recipient from the Douglas County Sheriff's association. Thanks to the Omaha West Foundation for grants of $1000 each to the following charities in honor of this year's recipients: The Furniture Project, the Omaha Police Fd., and the Douglas County Sheriff's Foundation. Each of these charities had a representative come and talk about the meaningful work they do to help people in the community.
