Last week, President Jill Slupe presided the 24th Annual Police and Fire Awards. We honored Police Detective David Preston, Jr as Omaha's Outstanding Police Officer, and Firefighter Dustin Talacko as Omaha's Outstanding Firefighter. Matt McKeever was Chair of the Day and he introduced both Police Deputy Chief Ken Kanger and Assistant Fire Chief Kathy Bossman who spoke on the achievements of our honorees this year. Gene Klein gave the Invocation. Kari Ketcham and Bonnie Gill served as greeters. Lori Benton was Sgt. at Arms. Anne Fuhrman was Cashier.
