Last week Dwayne Brown introduced us to new member Nathan Morgan.  Originally from South Alabama, Nathan has lived in Omaha for 18 years. His wife Sheri teaches at Creighton and he has 2 children, Grayson 15, and Clara 10. For the past nine years, Nathan was Executive Director at The Big Garden in Omaha and recently joined The Omaha Community Foundation as a Donor Services Specialist. He has over 25 years of nonprofit experience and enjoys sharing that with donors at OCF. Want to talk about finding and replacing a fuel pump on a classic Chevy pickup? Nathan can be your “car guy” resource.  Welcome, Nathan!

 

Congratulations and thank you to several generous Rotarians who received Paul Harris Fellow recognition from Martie Cordaro and Bonnie Gill last week for their donations to the Rotary Foundation. The Intl. Rotary Foundation supports projects around the world (and here locally) to eradicate disease, promote literacy, peace, and economic security.

Skinner Magnet School 5th graders all received a book to take home for the summer thanks to a grant from the Omaha West Rotary Foundation.

 

If you are unable to attend the Bloody Mary Fest, please consider supporting the event by purchasing raffle tickets in advance.  Tickets will be sold in arms length for $20 or a body length for $40.  There will be volunteers at check in selling tickets next week.  There are 18 baskets full of awesome items!
