Welcome Jeri Engen!
Last week Candy Specht introduced us to new member Jeri Engen.  Jeri has had three distinct "careers" in her vocational journey.  Graduating from UNO with a degree in Education and Exercise Science, she was involved in non-profit work as well as corporate settings facilitating employee health screenings, disease prevention and health promotion education classes and fitness center management.

Her second career was in Advertising, Marketing & Digital Media where she worked for The Omaha World Herald as their first, Health & Medical Account Executive, then the Sun Sentinel in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and the Palm Beach Post in West Palm Beach.  Jeri’s current career pivot has brought her  into the world of "Financial Wellness" and retirement readiness, as a Group Account Representative with Mutual of America.  They help companies and their people better prepare for retirement.

Jeri has a servant-leadership heart and enjoy volunteering with many non profits throughout the community.  She is an avid cyclist, walker, kayaker and a proud grandmother of 4.  Jeri also enjoys outdoor music venues like Jazz On The Green and Stinson Park.  Welcome, Jeri!

Welcome Mike Picard!
Last week Matt McKeever introduced us to new member Mike Picard.   After entirely too many years in college, Mike joined the Navy and spent the remainder of his 20’s scuba diving and patching up Marines.

He met his lovely wife (also former Navy) in 2000 and they transferred to England.  There, he worked for NATO for over 10 years, travelled the world and was blessed with a daughter.

Moving back to the States in 2016, he decided to purchase a small company and spend his free time as a volunteer volleyball coach (a lifelong passion).  He’s been coaching both school and club volleyball ever since and in 2022, decided to start ENVY Volleyball Club, a non-profit athletic organization that will offer scholarships to underprivileged youth in the Omaha area.  Welcome, Mike!
