Paul Harris Recognition
Congratulations and thank you to the generous Rotarians who received Paul Harris Fellow recognition from Dwayne Brown last week for their donations to the Rotary Foundation. The Intl. Rotary Foundation supports projects around the world (and here locally) to eradicate disease, promote literacy, peace, and economic security.

Blue Badges
Congratulations to Jody DuRee and Nathan Morgan who received their blue badges last week!

Rotary Foundation Month
November is Rotary Foundation Month.  Your gifts to the Rotary Foundation do good both here locally and around the world.  We ask every Rotarian Every Year to consider a donation to the Rotary Foundation.  Any amount is appreciated.  A $100 donation will make you a sustaining member.  When you reach a $1000 cumulative, you will be recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow. Every $1000 level is recognized as a Paul Harris +1, +2 etc.

If you donate a $100 or more this year, thanks to a generous club member (Carol Gendler) you will be matched in points toward your next Paul Harris. To take advantage of this match, you need to forward your receipt or let Bonnie Gendler know so she can process the match for you.  bmgjazz@gmail.com

The easiest way to donate is online here: https://my.rotary.org/en/donate  The Rotary Foundation committee will also have forms available at meetings and you can donate with a check.

Donating to Gary Bren's polio ride also counts toward your Paul Harris and can get you a match. The link for Gary's page is HERE.

Family of Rotary-December 1st!
Mitten Tree Collection
Volunteers will be accepting cash donations for our annual Mitten Tree  Adopt-A- School partner, Skinner Magnet School during the 3 meetings in December.  Past collections have gone towards warm clothing, utilities, groceries, and gas.   If you'd like to donate with a card, you can do so online by CLICKING HERE.

Community Service Opportunities

Beginning December 8th, Omaha West Rotary will be staffing one of the mobile canteens serving meals to the homeless and near-homeless every Thursday. We need two volunteers each night from 5:45-8. You will serve food out the window at various stops.  You can bring a friend or family member to do this (sign both of you up on the sign-up- there is only room for 2 people).   Kids ages 12 and up can help. CLICK HERE to sign up.

We are collecting gently used coats and warm winter clothing for the Salvation Army in December and January. Bring your items to a Rotary meeting.

Omaha West Rotary T-shirts
You can purchase an Omaha West Rotary t-shirt to wear with pride at service events or just around town.  Deadline for order is December 1st. Cost is $15.   You can pay with cash or check at a meeting with Jennifer or pay online by clicking HERE.

Omaha West Rotary Happy Hours
A couple of our new members have gotten to gather to organize monthly Happy Hours to give everyone a change to mingle in an informal setting. With so many new members, this is a great way to get to know each other better. Thanks to everyone who attended last week. Info on the next one coming soon.
