Vocational Talk - President Nuzhat Mahmood
West Rotary President Nuzhat Mahmood

Editor's note: We had a last minute change wherein the scheduled Vocational Talk speaker couldn't make it to the meeting and someone had to step in. Our President stepped  in and delivered her vocational talk.

Nuzhat Nahmood was born in Lahore, Pakistan. Her parents worked for the United Nations. Nuzhat grew up in Thailand where she graduated high school with an International Baccalaureate diploma. She came to the US to go to college, and dreamt of having a career "to help the poor." She got a chuckle from everyone when she said, right after college she realized she was poor. Nuzhat has been in the US for 30 years and she is a US citizen.

Nuzhat is married to Muhammad Javaid and he works for the Medical Center in Public Health. They have a 4-year old boy named Alexander.

Currently, she is Director of Program and Release Management at CSG. Prior to CSG, Nuzhat worked for Farm Credit Services of America for 20 years.

Nuzhat's hobbies include tennis, golf, hiking, theatre and reading.  She recently started a book club and would welcome anyone that wants to join; they read fiction and nonfiction, sometimes serious and deep, other times "lighter" books. She said it's about having a good discussion .

And guess what Nuzhat went over 2 minutes! She fined herself. So at this point you get the trend of the vocational talk portion of our Friday meeting.
