Last Week at Rotary

Last week Frank Phillips gave the invocation. Jim Otis and Warren Whitted III served as Greeters. Mark Ellsworth was Cashier and Starla Waite was Sgt. at Arms. Nick Rosenberry took care of a/v for us. We had several announcements. Don Otis introduced John Knape who gave us an update on NET.

Family of Rotary

Join us for food, fellowship, and fun at Bel Air Fashions for a holiday open house on December 3rd from 5-7pm. Dick Lerner and crew will be glad to host you and your guests! Please sign up online by 11/27. 717 N. 114th St. (Miracle Hills Square)

Mark your calendars for our Holiday Luncheon on December 20th at Anthony's Restaurant. Invite a guest!

November is Rotary Foundation Month

Our goal is for 100% of our members to make a donation to the International Rotary Foundation this year. The easiest way is to go to the Rotary website at myrotary.org and create an account to give online. A $100 donation makes you a 19-20 Sustaining Member. Cumulative donations of $1000 make you a Paul Harris Fellow.

The Rotary Foundation money we give comes back to us in the form of District and Global grants allowing to us to support local projects like the meal packaging, care packages for the homeless, and a new laundry room for Skinner Magnet School.

You can also bring a check made out to the Rotary Foundation to the meeting on Friday and Jennifer will send it in for you.

Service Projects

We will also be participating in Salvation Army Bell Ringing on Saturday, November 30th from 10am to 4pm at HyVee at 3410 N. 156th St. Please mark your calendar. We will have sign ups at the meeting Friday.
