It's our Holiday Luncheon

It's our annual holiday luncheon. Please come in your best holiday outfits as there will be prizes for best costume and an ugly sweater. Check-in anytime after 11:15 AM. Lunch will be ready by 11:30 AM. We have hired a professional pianist, and there will be live music with Christmas carols starting at 11:40 AM. There will be a brief club business shortly after 12 noon, then we will have our holiday program. Invite your family, kids, grandkids, and friends. It will be our regular lunch price but we will have a fabulous holiday menu including spiked eggnog!

Secretary Nick Rosenberry Report

Omaha West Rotary Club Secretary Report for December 18, 2018:

This past Friday, we had several visitors and guests! Mick McKinley visited from Council Bluffs. And Christopher Pfanstiel and Rich Rowland visited from Suburban. John Philo invited Tony Schutz. Martie Cordaro invited (our now newest member!) Ben Kratz. Roger Bickerstaff invited Barry Larson. Kim Kuhle invited Tammy Hayes. Michelle Schrage invited Carol Cosgrove. Dan Farris brought his daughter JoAnna. And Bill Sutton invited Bill Holleran.

For good news, Suzan Rohrig was driving past Kent Templien’s house recently and Kent was in the garage doing physical therapy. Suzan Stopped to say hi and Kent said “Watch this” and stood up and waved back! Bub Kully's wife had successful kidney surgery. John Morey congratulated Brett Wawers and Lamp Rynearson for the soon to be opening of the 150th street bridge on Dodge. Finally, in not so good news, Kent Templien’s father-in-law recently passed away. Please keep Juli Templien and her family in your thoughts.

Nick closed with a borderline funny joke wished everyone a good week!

Announcement: January 11th Meeting
Message from Past President Susan Thomas:
Because Champion’s Run will be closed the first two weeks in January, Omaha West will have lunch at our adopt-a-school partner, Skinner Elementary School on Friday, January 11 at noon.  We will have lunch with some of the children (please sign up for a boxed lunch by January 4) and will then be given a short tour of several of the school’s special places (e.g. library, nurse’s office, technology room, music room, gym).  Please join us to meet some Skinner students and to learn more about the school Omaha West supports in many ways.
Club Vision Statement
We are a service organization with projects that support education and building understanding locally, nationally and globally.
