Last week Mark Ellsworth introduced us to new member Ben Douglass. Ben was born and raised in Reno, Nevada and after a four-year stint in Colorado, returned to Reno to go to high school before attending Gonzaga University. He majored in Business Administration with a concentration on Marketing. Ben began his casino career in Cripple Creek, Colorado, at Bronco Billy’s Casino, which his family owned and operated. There he where he worked as a slot attendant, casino host, table games dealer and manager, floor manager, and assistant general manager. While in Colorado, he also met his future wife Tiffanie, and her two kids, Darian, and Giovanni. While in Colorado his family sold the casino to a larger publicly traded casino corporation and he was promoted to General Manager of Stockman’s Casino in Fallon, Nevada. After a year there, he and Tiffanie were married in Hawaii before his next promotion to General Manager of Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun, Indiana. After two and a half years of running Rising Star, Ben decided it was time for a change of scenery and found Prairie Flower to be a great place for him to work. Prairie Flower is a Tribal Casino owned by the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska, and ultimately the reason he came to Omaha. Ben sees himself as an open, friendly, and inclusive person who us always ready to talk about all things gaming, Star Wars, and sports. Tiffanie, Ben and their three dogs are delighted to have ended up in Omaha and can’t wait to build a future here! Welcome, Ben! |
