Last week Jennifer Bumsted introduced us to new member Douglas County Sheriff Aaron Hanson. Aaron was born and raised in Omaha. He graduated from North High School and attended college at UNO. In 1996 he became an officer for the Omaha Police Department. On the Omaha Police force, he served as a uniform patrol officer, K-9 officer, Gang Unit Sergeant, and Fugitive Task Force supervisor. In addition to his police work, he has shown his concern for the community by working with young men to build up their life skills and connect them with high paying skilled labor jobs. Though he has retired, after 25 years, with the Omaha Police Department, he is still on the front lines of the fight against crime as the Douglas County Sheriff. Welcome, Aaron! |
