West Rotary Foundation Giving
On January 27th, the West Omaha Rotary Foundation announced its Planned Giving Program to the Club as a means of significantly growing the endowment balance so that more grants may be provided to the community.  Club members providing or pledging at least $1,000 are eligible to become members of the West Omaha Rotary Foundation Society.

Thank you to our Trustees who were the first to make this commitment and be recognized last week:
Pat Knowles, Rich Secor, Joe Finnegan, Matt McKeever

There are many ways you may make current and/or future gifts.  For more information, please view the flyer below and/or contact Rich Secor, 402.616.5022; richard.secor@lundco.com

Blue Badge
Congratulations to Pam Hagge who received her blue badge last week!

Mitten Tree Funds
In addition to purchasing coats for Skinner students, Kathy Wawers delivered toiletries, clothing, gloves, hats, shoe gift cards, etc. to the Counselor last week.  This was made possible by Mitten Tree donations and a match from the Omaha West Foundation. Pictured- Mrs. Wright-Burnes, Counselor.

Skinner Career Day

On the afternoon of Thursday, February 16, 2023, Omaha West Rotary will host a Career Day for about 75 Fifth Grade students at Skinner Magnet School.    Rotarians and others representing different professions will discuss their careers with the students.

We need volunteers to represent their careers.   Please send your contact information to Denny Duer at denny.d@proassoc.net 402-670-3378.

Rotary Yeti Bottles
This year we are presenting Yeti water bottles to our Senior Recognition Day students.  We want to offer the opportunity for Rotarians to purchase one if you so desire. Cost is $45.00 and our hope is that they will be navy.  Navy is currently on backorder, so they might be black.
Orders are due by March 1.  Find this story on our website omahawestrotary.org and and then click on the button to order/pay.
