Get to Know Your Fellow Rotarian
Each week we will feature a different member so you can get to know him/her better! Please complete a form (see Jennifer if you need one) to be featured in an upcoming newsletter.

This week's Rotarian is Rebecca Miller, our Secretary

Occupation: Owner and Managing Director of Fixlexia, a dyslexia clinic

Membership: Since December 2017

Why she's a Rotarian: I believe in the mission of Service Above Self. I also enjoy being and working with other professionals committed to doing great work in the community.

Spouse: Mark Miller

Hobbies: I am a curious person. Therefore my hobbies can change on a whim.  Currently, I am learning how to bake a great loaf of bread and researching how to obtain dual citizenship from my mother's native country, Latvia.

Beach or Mountains? : I enjoy both, but if I have to pick, it would be BEACHES.

Favorite Vacation spot: I don't have a favorite spot; I enjoy traveling to any place new or different.

Favorite Ice Cream: Tiramisu from Ted and Wally's

Bucket-list: A one-year trip (or even a few months) traveling worldwide and staying with Rotarians from various countries to save money to afford the flights- ha ha.

Something you wouldn't know about me:   During my sophomore year of college, I wrote a letter to the head of Marketing for Revlon and asked to be a part of their summer intern program.  I was accepted and moved to NYC on my own. The internship was a fantastic experience that included meeting Ralph Lauren.
Ecology Committee Project
Members of the Ecology Committee have been cleaning up the gardens at Project Harmony. If you'd like to help, please reach out to Charles Shapiro.

Rotary District 5650 Night at the Stormchasers
Join us on Thursday, August 4th for a fun night at the ballpark with Rotarians across the District.   CLICK HERE to get your tickets.

The Omaha Storm Chasers and the Rotary District 5650 Veterans Fellowship group are teaming up to raise money on Military Appreciation Night for our Annual District-Wide ballgame! $6 from each ticket purchased will go to our designated beneficiary, Operation 22 Til Freedom (https://operation22tilfreedom.com/)!. They raise funds to help veterans in need and to lower veteran suicide. Money raised will help veterans all over the metro area!

Please plan on coming a bit early that night to join us in our private tailgating area in front of the stadium and to watch District Governor Barbara Bartle throw out one of the ceremonial first pitches!

Please contact fellow Rotarian / Omaha Storm Chasers staff member Zach Ziler at (402) 738-5137 or zachz@omahastormchasers.com if you have any additional questions.
