Secretary Nick Rosenberry Report

Omaha West Rotary Club Secretary Report for March 15, 2019:

This past Friday, we had several visiting Rotarians including Cella Quinn and Larry Johansen from Downtown.  We also had several guests.  John Edwards was accompanied by Irv Veitzer.  Matt McKeever brought Jeff Main.  Lori Benton invited Lucas Tieso.  Jill Slupe brought Laura Smith.  Bonnie Gill Manhart brought Ann Dirks.  Brett Wawers brought Terry Atkins. Mark Ellsworth invited Kim Rosenbohm.  And our Speaker, Brook Bench, was joined by his colleague Marquette Ryan.

For good news, Ric Miller survived a blizzard.  Ben Kratz was able to successfully install a new operating system at his work.  Bob Runyon wanted Brook Bench and everyone to know that Bob and his family frequent the Mockingbird swimming pool and really like it.  Lori Benton attended a Storm Chasers event and found out that they will be selling Jello shots at upcoming games.  Mike Morey finished the good news by reminding everyone that the Husker basketball team is still playing…and Creighton is not.  GBR!

Nick ended with a joke and wished everyone a good week.

Paul Harris Recognition
Last week Bonnie Gill recognized Mark Christopher Manhart and Ann Dirks as Paul Harris Fellows for their donations of $1000 to the Rotary Intl. Foundation.   Mike Shrier was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow +5 for his donations of $6000.  Congratulations and thank you to all of you!
Congratulations!
to Warren Whitted III who completed all his red badge requirements and received his permanent badge from his sponsor (and dad) Warren Whitted, Jr. last week.
