Chair of the Day: Bob Gerseny

 

 

 

 

Jim grew up and went to high school in Grand Island.  After graduation, he made good on his primary goal of getting out of Nebraska and going to the big city of Chicago, where he studied economics at the University of Chicago.  After a few years in the Windy City, he realized that being closer to family was a bigger deal than the bleacher seats at Wrigley Field.

 

Jim has spent most of the last 25 years (minus 4 years in Minneapolis) in Omaha doing sales in the technology field. He is a passionate fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Chicago Cubs, and Minnesota Vikings.  He has been involved in LGBTQ advocacy issues throughout the years.

Jim’s interest in Rotary comes from a desire to do more for others that may not have the opportunities that he has had.

 

Any objections to this proposal must be to the Board of Directors within one week. 

Rotary maintains 10 libraries in North Omaha filling them every 4-6 weeks.  If you have any used books or want to volunteer to stock them, contact Bonnie Gill.
