OMAHA GIVES on May 24th!

The West Omaha Rotary Foundation is participating in Omaha Gives -  a 24 hour charitable challenge organized by the Omaha Community Foundation. We will be joining over 700 local nonprofits to raise money together and compete for matching funds and prize money. The more money we raise, the larger percentage of the bonus dollars we will receive. The more donors we get to give to us, the more likely we are to win prizes. The online giving will take place May 24th from midnight to midnight.  Your donations collectively can result in additional matching or prize funds for our club foundation. Donations will support our programs at the Skinner Magnet Center, Skinner Skyhawk Awards, Mitten Tree Project, Senior Recognition Day, Dora Bingel Senior Center, Rotary Youth Leadership programs, Police and Fire recognition programs and other local educational, health and humanitarian projects and programs.

Click here to donate to the West Omaha Rotary Foundation by participating in Omaha Gives!  This year you can schedule your donation starting May 1st or donate on May 24th to increase our chances for additional funds from bonus prizes.

All donations are accepted online-only through OmahaGives.org.
Minimum giving is $10
.  Your dollars will help fund the club projects.
      1) click the link above and use your credit card

MARCH BIRTHDAYS

Image
    Happy Birthday!

3/1 DAN KEIM, 3/11 EDSON BRIDGES, 3/12 DENNY DUER, 3/28 JOHN PHILO, 3/31 DAN FERRIS

POLIO ERADICATION – We are asking you to donate $32 during the month your birthday is recognized.  The District has set $32 per person as a giving goal for PolioPlus.  Your donation will be given to The Rotary Foundation in your name for PolioPlus.  Rotary has led the private sector in the global effort to rid the world of polio for over 30 years. The PolioPlus program helps Rotary fund operational costs, such as transportation, vaccine delivery, social mobilization, and training of health workers, and support surveillance activities.  Your donation can help "End Polio Now."

Schedule A Vocational Talk

Gretchen Radler, Vocational Service Committee Chair, will be contacting members to schedule a vocational talk.

  • Your talk should be no longer than 2-3 minutes in length and preferably 2 minutes.
  • Inform members where you work and the nature of the business. The following are suggestions only as ideas for your talk - innovations or technology affecting the business; products or services offered; your customer/client base; how you selected your vocation.
  • Very brief personal/family background.

Please say yes when asked to schedule your vocational talk.  We look forward to learning more about our fellow Rotarians.

March 17, Richard Secor
