 Dr. Cheryl Logan,
Superintendent of Omaha Public Schools

The Omaha Public Schools superintendent has finished her first six months at the helm of the largest school district in the state.   Already, Logan has visited all of the schools in the district and met with school board members, students, parents and employees. She’s also met with more than 50 groups and individuals, including Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert, Gov. Pete Ricketts, Omaha City Council members and state senators.   Join us on Friday, January 25th, to learn the challenges the district faces, and the bright spots of our Omaha public school system.

Dr. Cheryl Logan began her position as superintendent of Omaha Public Schools on July 1, 2018. The OPS Board of Education selected Dr. Cheryl Logan on Tuesday, Jan. 30. Logan comes to OPS from the School District of Philadelphia, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she served as Chief Academic Officer, responsible for the academic achievement of more than 135,000 students. “I am honored to be selected as the next leader of the largest school district in Nebraska and I am committed to promoting and sustaining student achievement, equity and access to educational programming for all students,” said Logan.
