Development Coordinator at the Nebraska Diaper Bank
Stephanie Wenz is the Development Coordinator at the Nebraska Diaper Bank, where she helps connect community members and organizations to the mission of providing diapers through collaborative partnerships to change lives and empower families in need. She joined the team in January 2025 after several years working as a Project Coordinator and Facilitation Manager for a local consulting firm. Before that, Stephanie had various roles in healthcare sales across several regions.
Stephanie brings a passion for building relationships, connections and creating meaningful partnerships to make a difference in our community. Outside of work, she’s a proud mom of three teenage daughters who keep her on her toes.
Congratulations and thank you to Gretchen Radler who received Paul Harris Fellow recognition of +6 from Candy Specht last week for her donations to the Rotary Foundation. The Intl. Rotary Foundation supports projects around the world (including locally) to eradicate disease, promote literacy, peace, and economic security.
We were saddened to learn over the weekend of the passing of one of our long-time members, Ron Niederhaus.
He was a wonderful Rotarian and friend and will be missed.
Ron’s visitation will be November 5th, 4-7 pm at West Center Chapel (7805 West Center Rd). The funeral will be November 6th at 11 am, Dundee Presbyterian Church (5312 Underwood Ave).
The Community Service Committee has TWO projects happening in the month of November!
#1 Salvation Army Night Watch:
The Community Service Committee is collecting cash and/or gently used or new coats, sweatshirts, beanie hats for the Salvation Army Night Watch program. The collection will run through November. You can donate through the link on the newsletter/website. The cost for 1 bundle (coat, Sweatshirt, and beanie) is $43. If the Club can collect enough for 20 kiddos to receive a bundle, then Rob Walker has committeed to donating for 10 more!
The Community Service Committee is collecting cash and/or NEW underwear for the Open Door Mission. 300 pairs of underwear would serve 33 men experiencing homelessness. So that’s one week of underwear in the Mens Center. The collection will run through November. You can donate through the link on the newsletter/website.
Rotary maintains 10 libraries in North Omaha filling them every 4-6 weeks. If you have any used books or want to volunteer to stock them, contact Bonnie Gill.
