Chad Allen

Omaha Community Foundation

Chad Allen joined the Omaha Community Foundation in 2024 as a Donor Services Advisor, bringing more than a decade of experience in nonprofit fundraising across the Midwest, particularly in the arts. After years of asking for support on behalf of charitable organizations, Chad now works on the other side of philanthropy, helping individuals and families give in ways that are meaningful, strategic, and lasting.

In his role, Chad partners closely with fundholders to open new charitable funds, plan legacy gifts, and connect personal values with real community needs. He often says his work is about “helping folks find their joy through philanthropy,” which is fancy talk for “helping folks give their money away.” He is continually inspired by the stories behind why people choose to give.

Chad’s work reflects the broader mission of community foundations: strengthening communities by helping donors support causes they care about, locally and beyond, both today and for future generations.

What is Hope Lodge? Hope Lodge is an American Cancer Society community that offers a home away from home for people facing cancer, and their caregivers, when cancer treatment is far away.

Why should I volunteer? Serving food at the Hope Lodge not only provides nutritious meals, but it also offers emotional comfort to those who are far from home fighting through cancer treatments.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to package meals for the Heartland Kids Against Hunger!
