Welcome Christian Kloster!
Last week Gary Bren introduced us to new member Christian Kloster.    Christian is an Iowa native who attended Wartburg College.
Christian is married to Elise and they have 4 kids; Ethan: 21, Tyler: 19, Aidan: 16 and Ava: 15

For 20 years, Christian managed various secondary marketing desks for mortgage companies and banks (set daily interest rates, hedged interest rate risk, managed loan products and traded mortgage assets in the capital markets).   In 2011, Christian moved to Omaha to work for First National Bank.  In 2017, he left First National to focus full time on land development with business partner, Tom Falcone (Falcone Land Development).  Falcone Land Development acquires open ground, does all entitlement and infrastructure (streets, sewer, water, and power) and sells residential lots to builders.

Christian currently owns or is a part-owner in 12 different businesses/partnerships including homebuilder, Edward Custom Homes.

Christian is a member of Omaha Chamber of Commerce, Metro Omaha Builders Association, Omaha Area Board of Realtors and past member of Suburban Rotary.  He is also Treasurer for the Aquatic Club of Elkhorn (ACE) – Non profit swim club for youth.

In his free time, Christian enjoys  CrossFit,  golf, skiing, boating, and football tailgater (Ethan a senior at University of Iowa “Go Hawks!” and Tyler a sophomore at Colorado University “Sko Buffs!”).

With only 2 kids left at home Elise and Christian look forward to more entrepreneurial opportunities (maybe not Elise) volunteering opportunities and traveling.  Welcome, Christian!

Welcome Tony Veland!
Last week Mark Ellsworth introduced new member Tony Veland.

Sports have always been a passion of Tony’s because of the competition, but he has grown to appreciate it more over the years because of the lessons learned, and the platform it’s provided him: an attentive ear, which helps him speak into the lives of others. As an advisor for a number of years, he has helped individuals to become better stewards of their finances. As a coach, he has helped kids to become better athletes, but more importantly, he’s taught life lessons and instilled traits and habits that lead to success in the future.

Now, as Director of Business Development at Omaha not-for-profit AIM Institute, he helps provide resources to affect change in the community where it is needed most. Due to the number of ways AIM helps in the community, working at the nonprofit gives him the chance to lead a team that is focused on changing lives through tech education and career development.

Welcome, Tony!

Last year we had our most successful golf outing yet and we look to continue that momentum this year! We even had a $10,000 hole-in-one last year! Thanks to Joe Finnegan, they are no longer offering that has a package haha. That was pretty special though. Our goal is 128 players (32 foursomes).

The Fundraising Committee is looking forward to your help in making this a success!

Thank you! Alex Pearson
