POLIO ERADICATION – We are asking you to donate $32 during the month your birthday is recognized.  The District has set $32 per person as a giving goal for PolioPlus.  Your donation will be given to The Rotary Foundation in your name for PolioPlus.  Rotary has led the private sector in the global effort to rid the world of polio for over 30 years. The PolioPlus program helps Rotary fund operational costs, such as transportation, vaccine delivery, social mobilization, and training of health workers, and support surveillance activities.  Your donation can help "End Polio Now."

We would like you to schedule a 2-3 minute vocational talk.  Share with members information about your profession, yourself and your family.  Remember, we want to hear from our new members and our new members would like to learn more about the professions of their fellow Rotarians so please schedule a vocational talk.  Contact Vickie Backman to schedule a date for your talk or sign-up at a noon Rotary meeting.

Schedule:

Please notify the office if you have news to share with club members.

NORTHWEST ROTARY - FELLOWSHIP
You are  invited to a Northwest Rotary fellowship on Thursday, August 13th.  It is "Movie Night" at the home of our club president, Gene Gau.  There will be hot dogs/brats, side dishes and beverages.  Food will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the movie "Caddyshack" will be shown at 8:00 p.m.   Club members and guests are invited.  There is no cost but we are asking for PolioPlus donations.  Please email Vickie Backman nwrotary@cox.net for a reservation so we can have plenty of food for our guests.  Gene has a large building on his property where he and his wife keep their corvettes and entertain for a picnic type event.  Gene and his wife are both members of the Cornhusker Corvette Club and both participate in racing competitions.  Their corvettes, trophies and memorabilia are an added attraction in addition to dinner and a movie. We hope you can join us.  See additional details below.
