Last Week at Rotary

Last week, President Jill Slupe presided along with Secretary Nick Rosenberry. Laurie Benton gave the Invocation and Anne Fuhrman and Manny Paz served as Cashiers. Bob Lovgren was Sgt. at Arms. Deirdre Milobar and Bonnie Gill served as Greeters. Matt McKeever introduced Anne Constantino who talked about the services Children's Respite Care provides.

Secretary Nick Rosenberry Report

Omaha West Rotary Club Secretary Report for April 19, 2019:

This past Friday, Phil Schreier from Northwest visited. We also had several guests. Warren Whitted III brought Josh Wilcox. Matt McKeever invited Joe Macchieths. Jill Slupe & Lori Benton invited Elizabeth Hallgren and Laura Iliff brought her daughter, Caroline Iliff.

For good news, the Lock Box was named after John “Moneyman” Morey to thank him for his $1,000 donation to help offset the first-year dues of new members! Also, Marryssa Brown will be starting a new job! Dwayne joked that he won’t have to buy lunch. Jamie Summerfelt spoke about Easter Seals and their upcoming 100-year anniversary. Carl Greiner’s brother completed a program in alternative medicine and as been offered a job. Dan Farris only had to make one trip to the ER while on a motorcycle trip in Portugal and Spain. Mark Manhart Sr. told a joke about a nun getting a root canal. He may be taking over for me 😊. And finally, Tim Neal was proud of all of the people in the Midwest in their response to the flooding.

Also, a long-time member of our club, Frank Matthews, 97 passed away. He had a very nice obituary in the World Herald on April 19th.
