Last week, Past President Jill Slupe and Nick Rosenberry presided over the meeting. Manny Paz gave the Invocation and Russ Iwan served as Cashier. Martie Cordaro and Butch Ethington served as greeters. We had several announcements and presentations. Deb Neary introduced Moniki Gunn-Cannon, Director of Step Up Omaha, about efforts to employ underserved youth.
This past Friday, we had several visiting Rotarians! John Massh was in town from Trumbull Rotary Club in CT. Greg Baily and Dave Paladino visited from Suburban. And Phil Schreier visited from NW. We also had a couple of guests. Dave Paladino brought Nolan Paladino. And Deb Neary brought Sally Otis (Don’s daughter).
February birthdays include: Gail Veitzer (01), Larry McChesney (03), Bonnie Gill (04), Vaughan Wiebusch (09), Tara Browne (12), Joe Finnegan (17), and Deb Neary (25).
For good news Ben Kratz said that the recent cold weather was good for the heating repair business. Susan Rohrig’s daughter is still recovering, but getting better. Gretchen Radler thanked all who helped build the Little Free Libraries. Bret Wawers thanked everyone who signed up for the meal packaging service event. And finally, Sally Otis put a dollar in for her Dad, Don, who is in Palm Desert.
Nick ended with a joke and wished everyone a good week.
