This Friday: Phil Taylor regarding Cybersecurity best practices!

After 25 years in the newspaper industry - spending the last seven as President of the Omaha World-Herald - Phil transitioned to IT services in 2019, serving as Vice President for a Lincoln-based IT services provider before spending 2 years as Chief Administrative Officer for a Council Bluffs nonprofit.

Now Vice President at American PCS, Phil oversees customer relations with a focus on client satisfaction, long-term partnerships, and aligning IT solutions with organizational goals. He also serves as a bridge between technical teams and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

In his spare time, Phil enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Phil's presentation, “Cybersecurity in a Changing World,” introduces business leaders to the realities of today’s cyber risks and the simple steps that can make a big difference in protecting their organizations.  Using real examples and clear best practices, the session focuses on what matters most - keeping data safe, preventing common attacks, and building everyday security awareness.

"Thank you and your fellow Rotatarians very much for being part of our Cooking Up Hope program!  Your generosity, time, and delicious meal brought more than just nourishment to our guests—you brought comfort, kindness, and a true sense of community.

Whether you were chopping, stirring, serving, or simply sharing a smile, your presence made a meaningful impact. Our guests felt cared for, and your efforts helped make Hope Lodge feel even more like home.

We’re so grateful for your support and hope to welcome you back again soon. Until then, know that you’ve made a lasting difference—one plate, one conversation, one moment at a time.

One of our longer term guests said “this is the best Cooking Up Meal we’ve had yet!”

With heartfelt thanks,

Berta"
