Last week Kim Kuhle gave the invocation. Stacy Auman and Tom Gaughan were our Greeters. Russ Iwan served as Sgt. at Arms and Mark Ellsworth and Ann Fuhrman  served as Cashiers.  Nuzhat Mahmood presided over her first meeting as President.  John Philo substituted as Secretary. We had several announcements and two new member introductions.  Kim Kule introduced John Weichmann who talked about the Midwest Housing Equity Group and their success in creating housing for families. 

Last week Stacy Auman introduced us to new member Michelle Kaufmann. Michelle is a Relationship Manager with First National Bank of Omaha in Wealth Management. She grew up in Dubuque, IA and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa.  Michelle lived in Omaha from 1994 to 2009 until she returned home to Dubuque to work for Prudential Retirement.  She moved back to Omaha in 2016. She is single and has two spoiled cats, Lucie and Cheddar.  In her spare time, she enjoys cruising around in her 1971 Volkswagen Beetle, reading, web surfing, and dreaming of owning a beach house.  Michelle has volunteered with Junior Achievement at Belle Ryan Elementary School and is excited to join the Omaha West Rotary. Welcome, Michelle!

 

Last week Jim Gerner introduced us to new member Ray Kurowski.   Dr. Kurowski is a retired Dentist who teaches part-time with the Creighton Dental Faculty.   He is married to Kathy and they have two adult children.  In his free time, he enjoys traveling. Welcome, Ray! 

 

 

 

 We ask all members to serve on at least one committee (but you are welcome to serve on several) .

All members should have received a 17/18 Dues invoice via email last week.  If not, please contact the office. Your assistance in paying your dues as soon as possible is greatly appreciated as we need to pay Rotary International on your behalf on July 1st. 

Speaker suggestions are welcomed from members.  Contact Jennifer at the Rotary office if you have heard an interesting speaker or have a topic of interest to suggest.
